This year, Katherine Rose took part in the 2025 Red Earth Arts Festival.
Sketchbook Artist is a deeply personal solo exhibition by Katherine Rose, showcasing a collection of works inspired by years of sketchbook explorations. Moving beyond the pages, this body of work captures the raw, spontaneous energy of sketches—brought to life through acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media, created first within sketchbooks and then translated into completed pieces on canvas or paper. Each piece offers a rare glimpse into the artist’s evolving ideas, unfiltered expressions, and the beauty found in imperfection.
Sketchbook Artist celebrates the freedom of experimentation and the quiet stories that unfold within the pages of an artist’s sketchbook.
